Permissions for shooting

You can shoot in public places without a special authorization but it’s a good practice to ask for permission if you are going to shoot in restaurants, shops or pubs for example. In institutes and offices you need to ask for a licence. More info in finnish on Journalistiliitto’s pages.

You need to ask for permission from any person appearing on your film unless it’s a mass of people filmed in a public place. When you’re showing a single person or a small group of people the permission is needed. Aalto has specific contracts that should be signed by everybody appearing on published material.
