Aalto University is looking for a teacher for CBT minor subject.

PART-TIME TEACHER (tuntiopettaja)

to coordinate and teach in the Content, Business and Technologies minor subject.

Main tasks and requirements

The Content, Business and Technologies (CBT) (http://cbt.aalto.fi) minor subject focuses on management and technology in the creative industries and cultural sectors. It includes courses from Aalto University’s ARTS, BIZ and SCI schools. The teacher of CBT participates in the planning of the minor subject and coordinates independently CBT activities.  The person teaches in the Art, Technology and Business course (ABT), which is the only obligatory course of CBT.

The teacher promotes and keeps contact with students, staff and possible industry partners through the different channels (CBT Internet-site, Facebook and other chosen channels) and of course face to face. The teacher will also contribute in the planning of the CBT program and update the CBT website, and most importantly, support the students in their studies and their projects related to the program and regularly communicating with the ATB/CBT students.

An MA degree is required. Also doctoral level education or doctoral studies of relevant topics is required (good knowledge about creative industry and creative project management). Good English skills are also required (teaching will be given in English) as well as teaching experience.

The job is a part time vacancy with about 20% efficiency. Full time salary according to the university salary system is 2823 – 2969 €/month.

The working period will be 1.8.2014-31.12.2014. There is a possibility that the work continues also in 2015.
