Multisemiotics – Introductory Workshop

The 2,5-day Workshop would introduce a Multimodal Semiotic framework to Media Factory. The framework is based on systemic-functional approach (SFL) to the study of language as a mode for communication in contexts of situations and cultures (genre and register), but it soon expanded its interests to various modes and traditional and digital media (e.g. studies of images, paintings, sculpture, architecture, marketing, advertising, packaging …) and within the framework various tools for multimodal analysis have been developed and these would be introduced at the workshop, with a possible view of developing collaborative projects together.
